Hi, testing the Solid Security plugin to see if it works before we move to the pro version. We noticed this issue when we use the front sign in form.

Important for us to take the next step: In tests when we enable the 2FA for selected staff, then this code box does not appear in the front section under our theme site login (it does appear in the back-end). This is problematic, because that user that has the 2FA enabled can’t login in the front of the site anymore. Our theme support (https://getvoxel.io/) wrote this. Is there a solution you can provide?

This feature is not compatible with the authentication form provided by Voxel. If the plugin provides its own authentication form which can be placed in the site frontend (as a widget or short code maybe), then you can replace the Voxel form with that one. You could also use both in the frontend, but the Voxel one would only work for non-2FA accounts.

    Regards,

    Hi @rrvoigt!

It sounds like you’ll have to choose between using the 2-Factor Authentication feature of Solid Security and using the login interface provided by that theme.

Our 2FA functionality relies on WordPress Core code to work reliably, and we are not able to support what’s essentially hacking (not in a negative sense, so much as the adventurous “hacky” way of doing things) of WP Login functionality to support our 2FA.

I’m happy to test any plugin or theme for compatibility with Solid Security, but it has to be free and available on the www.ads-software.com plugin directory in order for us or anyone to provide support here on this forum (by forum rules!)

    Thanks!

    Hi Ben,
@benmeredithgmailcom Thanks for your reply, we understand. The theme (https://getvoxel.io/) isn’t free, but becoming very popular compared to ACF. The developers have a good track record with their previous theme (MyListing).

Just to clarify something. Will the 2FA code box appear when we use the Elementor Pro login widget? At the moment we use the free version of elementor with the themes own login widget. Or will we run into the same issue if we upgrade down the line?
