I have 2FA set as optional for users with the customer role. However, there is no option to enable 2FA once I login (using test account with customer role).

The help article says “For other users, this is a separate menu item with a Wordfence logo.”

However, cannot find this menu item either.

    Hi @muzzamiester,

The Edit Profile page can be accessed by all signed in user levels at /wp-admin/user/profile.php, usually from the the top-right of the WordPress menu bar, even if they cannot see the admin dashboard. There should be a “Wordfence Login Security” section on this page when 2FA is set up.

Please also note that using user-management plugins may depend on how user roles are defined to work with 2FA. WooCommerce for example needs Wordfence > Login Security > Settings > Enable WooCommerce Integration to work correctly.

Let me know if there are still issues after checking these pages and settings. You can always provide screenshots here in the forums using a service like Snipboard if it helps illustrate anything more easily.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Hi Peter,

I have tried to access that page on my website but it just redirects to the my account page. That page has no option to enable 2FA.

I cannot see the WordPress menu bar when I login with the customer role account.

I have the WooCommerce integration enabled.

Just to add to my last post. I changed the role to author and the menu came up. When I changed the role back to customer the menu disappeared.

So the problem is specific to the customer role.

    Hi @muzzamiester,

I have been speaking with the development team about this and realize that the URL I gave above may auto-forward to /my-account rather than continue to be controlled by the profile.php page. WooCommerce 2FA was originally intended to allow administrator protection for our customers who run a WooCommerce website to further protect their accounts. However, demand for inclusion on their customers’ account pages has increased since our initial release with WooCommerce compatibility for 2FA and reCAPTCHA.

We already have a development case open for this and the release notes for Wordfence versions going forward will state when this addition is made. Naturally on the forums, I cannot commit to specific delivery dates.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
