2FA Doesn’t Indicate that it’s DOING anything
-
The 2FA seems to work fine, but it doesn’t give any indication that it’s DOING anything. One would suspect that during the AJAX requests, the login screen and 2FA screen would display some kind of “Loading” icon or something. I can sit there and hit Login 100 times on both the initial screen and 2FA and it just keeps adding admin-ajax.php to the network queue. Eventually, it’ll log me into the admin panel as it should.
I would suggest creating some kind of JS/CSS that will get rid of the form fields and buttons on the login screens when they’re clicked or the form is submitted so that people realize that something is going on in the background rather than looking like the click didn’t “take” and keep hitting the button.
I have a feeling some of the other issues around here complaining about 2FA not working are people not realizing they have to wait.
It’s a pretty awful UX as it sits right now.
