2FA doesn’t work and can’t access my admin dashboard after wordpress update
-
Hi guys,
Hope everyone is OK and safe.
Since the wordpress update, I can’t access my blog on the admin dashboard.
My 2-step authentication is live for months now.
I can see my blog, visit it, and order from it, and I can go on my login page, but after writing my name and password, I’ve got the 2FA box which I insert from Google Authenticator, and got this :
VALIDATION FAILED: The 2FA code could not be validated. Please try logging in again.
Despite everything I’ve checked, and even deactivate Wordfence,I can’t go after the 2FA box…
I had issues on my database which was full, I emptied what I could. So it is ok.
After I disabled wordfence, nothing works, can’t access the blog. I tried to deactivate all plugins, also mu-plugins, and still no access. I deactivated .htaccess as well, still no chance. As of now, I can’t access my blog and I don’t know what the problem is. I tried everything I could to get access but no success.
I have no idea whether this is due to the update or not, because, I should have received the automatic email from my blog where it informs me about incompatibility between 2 or more plugins. Nothing received, except the automatic update of 5.5.2. I have no idea of what to do guys. I reached out IONOS my provider and there is no issue from their server.
Thanks a lot and stay safe.
