2FA Code is not accepting codes generated by Google Authenticator nor the codes generated by Wordfence itself.
I am unable to access the site admin what should I do?

  • I have the same problem, now I can’t login to disable this faulty 2FA …. DON’T enable 2FA on wordfence for your admin loginm it’s not reliable.

    Hey @fernando-bernardi,

The quickest way back into the site is to manually disable Wordfence by renaming its directory to something like wordfence.bak using sFTP or your hosting control panel.

Was this previously working? What error are you getting when entering the backup codes?

    Thanks,

    Thanks for the return @wfgerald

    Yes it was working normally.

After entering password and user already appears the space to put the 2FA code as expired.

And when I try to put the code anyway it keeps saying that it is expired.

Even when I use the code generated internally by wordfence itself still giving error.

    This is the message:
INVALID CODE: The 2FA code provided is either expired or invalid. Please try again.

    Note: I am using nginx.

Now I’m getting in, but only after many invalid attempts.

I took these prints maybe help somehow solve the problem.

    print

    Hey @fernando-bernardi,

Can you please check for a plugin conflict? I’d start with any Analytics plugins.

Please let me know what you find.

    Thanks,
