• Hi, I’m using your plugin which is by the way great. Thanks for it!
I came across a strange behaviour: in pages everything works like a charme. In posts the 2nd, 3rd… picture only shows up on new entries. After saving, I have no more 2nd and 3rd dynamic picture.
I’m talking about the admin section, not the frontend! In the frontend everything’s alright!

What could be the problem here?

    Hi bedengler,

I can’t actually say what might be the problem without looking into your site. Is it possible to debug directly in your site?

Yes, you can, it’s the developer version of the website:

Where can I send you login details to?

Please do not share your credentials with anyone on this forum.

@ankitpokhrel I’m sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then ankitpokhrel may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

    Hi Jan,

Thanks for the heads up. If the user agrees to provide login details, I usually provide my email address to continue conversation via email.

I posted a response with my email address around 6 hours ago but can’t still see my post. Might be a forum cache. But how come your post is visible and not mine? Looks like something is off in caching system.

    Regards,
    Ankit

I’m sorry I wasn’t clear, what I really wanted to convey was please do not ask or receive login credentials from users and do not log into their sites. That’s going too far and is something that is actively discouraged.

    Really, don’t do it.

There are many ways to get the information to support them. But logging into their site is not one of them.

I agree. But most of the time it is convenient to provide support directly instead of long forum/email conversation. However I will try some other way to get debug information from now on.

It may be convenient but it is a short cut and one that is discouraged here.

@bedengler Please try the following temporary steps to troubleshoot:

    • Switch to the Twenty Fifteen theme
    • Deactivate all of your plugins, no exceptions
    • Clear your browser’s cache and cookies
    • Re-login and visit the admin backend and see if that resolves it

Do you still get the problem when you do that?
