3.56 broke my site, 3.57 no images

  • When I updated to 3.57 I thought everything was working again, I could see photos when I clicked on a gallery. Going back to the album page (by clicking the club28 breadcrumb link) and clicking any gallery again just says “no images were found” even for the one that showed photos the first time. This is repeatable – by re-loading the album page using the “Photos” top menu item you can see photos when clicking on any gallery – but the second try, “no images were found”! Please supply a fix as soon as possible.

    Hi @colinharbour,

    I am sorry to hear of the problem persisting in your case.

    Could you please try deleting NextGen Gallery plugin, then install it (3.57) new and check again?

    Thanks so much for the response. ?Could you just confirm please that if I remove and reinstall 3.57 that my albums/galleries will remain intact?

    Hi @colinharbour,

    Yes they will. your galleries info is in the database and the image files are in your gallery folder, removing the plugins do not mess with this.

    Also try clearing transients and purging any cache on your site.

    Thanks for the advice. I’ve done all that but unfortunately it’s exactly the same issue. Any other ideas please?

    Are you still looking into this please? The 3.57 update wrecked my previously perfect NextGEN experience. I’m posting again because I’ve just noticed that the url the first time the gallery is (successfully) viewed is different to the second unsuccessful try. For security I have substituted “domainname” for my actual domain name below.

    For example https://domainname/photos/nggallery/album/2023-cardiff works but https://domainname/photos/nggallery/club-28/album/2023-cardiff doesn’t.

    Rather disappointing that there’s been no update to solve this issue, everything was working fine before version 3.57, all smooth.

    I’ve now uninstalled NextGen Gallery and I’m using a different plug-in as I can’t wait any longer.
