    Hi all,
    the 3.6.0 version broke colors of product reviews, so everything looks black and white.

    https://ibb.co/nPWWtM8

    The issue only happens if you are not logged in (basically a guest of the website), while you are logged in everything looks good.

    Roling back to 3.5.2 solves the issue.

  • I’m having the same issue. Could this be due to caching?

    Anyone else having this issue and resolved while staying with 3.6.0?

    The issue is still present on 3.6.1 ??

    Still no answer from the developers?

    Hello @nicolaottomano

    I’m not able to replicate this issue at my end. The latest version is working fine for me.

    It might be a plugin conflict at your side. Please deactivate all the plugins and check if that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find which one is creating the problem.

    Let me know how it goes.

    Hi @poonam9
    sorry for my late reply. I tried to disable all plugins except WP Product Review Lite. I also disabled the Cloudflare reverse proxy CDN (and its optimizations) but the problem still occurs on 3.6.x

    Reverting back to 3.5.2 solves the problem. So, could the issue be in ver. 3.6.x used along with ReviewZine (Islemag) theme?

    Best regards,

    Nicola

    Hi @nicolaottomano

    I tried the ReviewZine theme but still not able to replicate it. I’d suggest you try the plugin with a default theme on a test website. You can try https://jurassic.ninja/ or https://poopy.life websites to create a test instance easily.

    Hi @poonam9
    just to be sure: did you logged out from wordpress?

    Adding additional information:

    If I’m logged into my website, I can see the following styles are loaded in the header:

    <link rel="stylesheet" id="wppr-common-css" href="https://www.nicolaottomano.it/wp-content/plugins/wp-product-review/assets/css/common.css" type="text/css" media="all">
    <style id='wppr-common-inline-css' type='text/css'>
    ....

    But when a guest watch the site, the above styles are missing.

    If you want to do some debug, I can give you an account to do it.
    Please send an email to spammami AT nicolaottomano DOT it

    Hi @nicolaottomano

    I checked the page after getting logged out from the dashboard. Screenshot >>https://prntscr.com/nys1tb

    I recommend you create a test site at https://jurassic.ninja/ and try the newest version of the plugin with the theme that you’re using. If you get the same issue there then change the theme and check how it goes. If it resolves the issue it means something is conflicting with the theme. In this case, you can share the test site URL so I can see the issue live.

    Hi @poonam9,
    Yes, I created a jurassic.ninja test site but cannot manage to replicate the issue. This is why I asked you to access my site instead of the test one.

    If you don’t mind, you can contact me in private and then I can give you access to my website and let you to directly check it.

    Best regards,

    Nicola

    Hi @poonam9
    I found the issue by debugging the new version.

    The “bug” can be found on /wp-product-review/includes/public/class-wppr-public.php at line 133

    array( 'dashicons' ),

    breaks the layout, while reverting to the old

    array(),

    solves the issue.

    @nicolaottomano that’s strange. We are unable to replicate this at our end. Dashicons are required to show the icons on the reviews and I don’t think that could be responsible for this. Maybe it is because of a conflict with another component. Does it happen if you revert to the default WP theme?

    Thread Starter nicolaottomano

    (@nicolaottomano)

    @rozroz switching to Twenty Nineteen theme, the problem does not occur.

    It only occurs on Reviewzine/Islemag theme.

    Best regards,

    Nicola

    Just to add, the same problem occurs in my website. And it is using Genesis Framework/Magazine Pro theme. Reverting to 3.5.2 also resolves the problem.

    @nicolaottomano @obitexa can you please share a screenshot of what actually happens so that we can reproduce it at our end?

    (@nicolaottomano)

    @rozroz here you can find the screenshot:

    https://ibb.co/nPWWtM8

    As you can see, everything appears in black and white and the “buy” button is not styled (it looks like a normal link).
