3 languages set – 2 shown on dashboard – 1 shown on site

Hello.
So I’m trying to set my website in three languages – English (default), German and French. I’m using the theme Regain by Northeme for a portfolio site.
I have installed the plugin and added French at Settings -> languages with all the necessary info. However, only English and German show up in the dashboard and can be set as languages for “Works” items. When I try to add French again, there is a message saying it has already been added.
I have put the language chooser into my main menu, but it only shows an English flag.
I’m super new to all this, so I have no clue how to solve this issue. Any help is appreciated.
