  • Have you added content in those other languages?

    Hello aigarinsh, thanks for reply. No, I thought that was this plugin job, like translating my Portuguese content to the other languages and then showing their flags on the menu, as I did the set up.

    Do I need to create the pages for the other languages? I was using Google Language Translator, however it doesn’t look good on menu and sometimes the translations don’t make any sense, so I found Polylang and it fits perfectly on my menu and I can translate some words manually.

    Thanks again and still hope to hear some solution!
    Cheers!!

    Hi
    @pixigirl
    Please check your steps thanks to the Polylang getting started: https://plugins.svn.www.ads-software.com/polylang/doc/polylang-getting-started.pdf

    Hi Chrystl, thanks for reply. Please tell me if I have to translate the other languages. I alredy read the pdf and this is not clear. The plugin won’t do the translating job, as Google Language Translator?

    Thank you again!
    Cheers!

    Polylang is not an automatic translation plugin as Google Language Translator.

    You write posts, pages and create categories and post tags as usual, and then define the language for each of them. The translation of a post, whether it is in the default language or not, is optional. If you wish to use a professional or automatic translation service, you can now install Lingotek Translation, as an addon of Polylang.

    Oh, I did install Lingotek ??
    In this case, the translation should be automatic, right? But I can’t figure it out how come the flags/language names don’t appear on my menu…

    They will be appeared once your translations will be done.

    You’re so right!

    It seems I need to do some work here, as Lingotek didn’t start for itself :/
