• Great plugin, but I have some questions:

    1. When I pay (test mode), it works fine. But I don’t enter my password and I don’t receive an email where I can set my password. So then I can not log in with a password after i have subscribed? What am I doing wrong?

    2. When I am logged in (if I don’t leave the page), there is the classic dark grey toolbox on the top of the page. Can i hide that one, since it has no purpose and might confuse some?

    3. I have a page where I have an e-paper, which should not be possible to see unless you pay a fixed amount. On the rest of the page, it is set to show 3 articles before you are asked to pay. How can I make sure that this page is always restricted?

    Thanks a lot!

I am using a dev site with a password protection, so I can not share the link here.

    1. In your Leaky Paywall settings, make sure the new user email is enabled.

    2. Yes, there are plugins that allow you to hide the admin bar from subscriber role users who are logged in. This is a good one: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/remove-dashboard-access-for-non-admins/

    3. When editing a page, there is a Leaky Paywall Visibility settings box in the sidebar that will let you always restrict a specific page.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks Jeremy.

    1. I did it. And now I get an email, but I get an error when I try to log in…? Second time I tried to subscribe, I don’t get an email anymore. How can that be?

What happens now after I “pay” is that the WordPress bar appears and I go to the default log in page. But since I get no password on email, I can not log in.

    2. I have installed it, but as described above, it seems it’s not working?

    3. Thanks!

    1. When you try to log in, what is the error you are seeing? Sending emails from WordPress using your website’s server can be spotty depending on your hosting. That could be the reason for you not receiving emails. To make email delivery more reliable, we recommend using a service like Mailgun https://www.mailgun.com/. That’s who we use for all our publishing clients.

    2. Here is another plugin you can try for hiding the admin bar. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/hide-admin-bar/

    1. I just get a “wrong password” message. So it’s VERY strange! Because I use the password that was just send to me. Do you know why this could happen?

I will try to use a plugin to make sure the email are sent. I will get back.

    2. Thanks, I will try that too.
