3 Problems (Slider and Attachment descriptions and centering top menu)

First: Thanks for this free theme! I have checked out dozens of themes over the past few days and I keep coming back to this one. I love the options available!

I am working on my site and have the test site at: new.mmdrdesigns.com

1. I have uploaded images for my front page slider and most of them are working ok (I need to resize a few), but the very first image (the screwdriver with the orange handle) that you see as you load the page is acting oddly for the first second as the page is loading. It almost seems to expand or contract to/from the bottom left of the slider. It’s very brief and only seems to happen on the initial load of the page (or subsequent refresh/reloads). As the slider images rotate through, it does not seem to happen again on the same image. Any way to prevent this? It looks glitchy…(I’m seeing this on a mac and windows based PC in various browsers).

2. I have galleries set up on most of my pages and I have descriptions of the images so that when the attachment page opens, the description should provide more information about the item. It works on most of the other themes I tried out, but doesn’t seem to work here. It does open the attachment page, but no description is visible. Very specifically, I know there are descriptions on the second gallery in the About Us page (the gallery with the A and M rings) and they don’t show up on the attachment page. Is there a setting for this?

3. My menu in the header is rather long, but not able to be centered. Is there something I’m missing? My banner logo is centered and I would love to have the menu centered under the logo. I tried the other layout options and it shrunk my banner and put the menu to the right of the banner rather than keeping it underneath. I also considered left justifying everything, but again, it moves the menu to the right of the banner logo. I’m not sure how I can handle this.
