I am using WordPress Default. I want to keep it simple, yet differentiate it in a few ways.

    1. How do I change the “>>” arrows to another symbol?

    2. How do I change the border and the background of my template to white?

    3. How do I place a .jpg or .gif file in my masthead?

Actually… it just pointed me to more gibberish. No offense, I appreciate the “help” and all. But as a newbie, it’s kinda tough when you don’t understand something, and people help you by pointing you to more stuff you don’t understand.

    OK, let’s see.
using WordPress Default. I want to keep it simple
That’s an oxymoron in itself – Default is one of the most complicated themes ever.
    1. As it was suggested, do a search “list style kubrick”
    https://search.www.ads-software.com/list+style+kubrick
    2. The background is an image. No easy way to change it, unless you make your own images.
    3. Search for header image kubrick and similar keywords. You may also want to open the header.php of your deafult theme and read there whatever it is said about the headerimage.

    Thanks a bunch…

I had no idea the default was that difficult.
