4 stars for no images

  • I’m giving it 4 stars because the free version does not allow the inclusion of images. I’d have given it 5 stars if the plugin description said even more clearly no images.

    Seems to do everything it says it will do. It’s easy to set up. The instructions and troubleshooting is very clear.

    But I need images, so I’ve deleted it and moved on in my search for some way to automatically grab my FB page feed and post it to my blog ideally automatically 1-to-1 posts. I know it’s easy to go WP->FB but I want to go FB->WP because FB gets more eyeballs.

    Hey Paul,

    Thanks for your honest feedback, and I apologize for any confusion about what the plugin is capable of. We don’t want to mislead anyone and so do mention in the description that in order to display photos or videos you’d need to upgrade to the Pro version:

    To display photos, videos, the number of likes, shares and comments for each Facebook post, multiple layout options, post filtering by type or #hashtag/string and more then upgrade to the Pro version.

    I understand that this could be clearer though and so I’ve made a note to address this.

    We do have to reserve some features for a Pro version as it takes a lot of time and resources to continually update and support a free plugin that’s used by several hundred-thousand people, especially one that’s based on a social media platform that’s continually changing and has so many nuances ??

    Hi John,

    People who gave this excellent plugin only 1 star are trolls.

    You are correct that paragraph is in the description, so I’ve bumped my rating to 4 stars. But it is buried at the bottom of 2 pages of text. Please do consider making that stand out a bit more. It would stop some of the hostility you attract.

    Looking at the Pro demo it seems worth it and I’ll consider it for another project.
