• I have installed register plus Version 3.5.1. The users and me (admin) are getting the emails without the username variable included in the email. They get so confused so they go back to the site, go to lost/recover password, and get:

Someone has asked to reset the password for the following site and username.

    Username:

To reset your password visit the following address, otherwise just ignore this email and nothing will happen.

Then they click the link, go to wordpress, it reports “Check your e-mail for your new password.” and the email never comes.

Then, the admin gets this email:

Password Lost and Changed for user:

Really weird, but hope someone has some idea of what I can do to fix this. I have searched and searched for a solution before posting this.

    Thanks!

Not much activity on this huh? No thoughts? My friend who is a programmer looked at it and did some test and could not find a problem.

Hey, I had the same problem… I managed to solve it.
I had to hack the plug-in.

I think the trouble comes up because the author expects you to either use email verification or administrator verification.

I have this properly configured, but I still have this problem…

I made some small changes that fixed the problem.

If you need the fix, drop me a line and I’ll send it to you.

Okay, turns out my hack was unnecessary.

If you want the admin to review every account before it is activated, then you CANNOT provide a verification link. Make sure the email verification checkbox is unchecked and the problem should go away.
