    Hi all,

I’ve just moved my old html based site to a wordpress platform.

All has gone well, except that I have discovered I have 30+ backlinks from other sites which point at index.html (www.lighthousebc.co.uk/index.html to be precise).

This results in a 404 error page if anyone clicks on the links (and googles crawler complains about it too)

I tried using .htaccess to do a 301 redirect from /index.html to https://www.lighthousebc.co.uk but that just results in a loop.

Anyone have any ideas how to get the redirect to work? I’d hate to lose the clicks and/o link juice.

    Thanks

    Ian
