    Hi.
I started using this gallery in December the 15th. Of course, I’m very happy and I love it. However since the day I started losing SERP positions (from 6th to 11th).
Now on a closer look, I see that ahrefs alerts me about too many redirects. I notice that I have every single image in a gallery redirecting to its post (total of 1.2K 301 redirects)

    1) Can this be the cause of the SEO problem I’m facing?
    2) Does this has something to do with the PRO feature that allows deep linking?

I don’t want to go back to the awful guttenberg gallery, but I will have to if this redirect issue keeps pulling my SERP down.

One more thing, I’m aware that gutenberg gallery also redirects attachments to its parent post, but the thing is that with Simply gallery, the url of the file is something like example.com/post/post1 while using gutenberg it was the folder path example.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/post1 and that was not picked up by ahrefs as a 301 redirect.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

it is possible that other plugins are involved in the process of creating your page, which can add links to Attachment pages. But the gallery itself does not add links to posts.
Here is my demo page with galleries and I can’t find any similar problem on it.

Thanks for the response. I understand what you are saying.
Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something I had misconfigured.
