3.0.1 Upgrade failed, installed manually, stuck with message
-
I just upgraded to 3.0.1, and during the automatic update, it failed because a file wouldn’t copy. No big deal, I downloaded it and installed manually.
Everything works fine, except I’m now stuck with a little message at the top of my admin page that says “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.” If I click “please attempt the update again now,” it brings me to the update page, where it says that I have the latest version of WP and gives me the option of re-installing or downloading.
I tried re-installing, and it hit the same snag that it did during the auto update. I’ve checked my files, and there is no .maintenance file in my root folder.
It’s not interfering with my WP installation at all, since my site and admin panel seem to be running smoothly, it’s just annoying and I want to get rid of the message. Any fixes?
