• Greetings!

I’m using – testing the latest 3.1 beta 2 version of WordPress. I hadn’t found anything that causes problems except from that:

When i’m writing a post in greek, after 2-3 words, the whole page freezes. On the other hand when i’m writing in english, everything is just fine.

    Any ideas?

PS. Greek language seems to working properly everywhere else.

Does it work in comments or not at all?

Also, what plugins are you running? Have you tried without them?

I’m deactivating plugins right now. As far as i can see, the problem is only at the “writer” part and not at the “html” part.

    Comments works fine.

The writer part? You mean using the TinyMCE editor or…?

Also, this is less weird than you think, but are you using the Visual Editor and Firefox 4?

Could be a number of things, but I cannot reproduce. Tested with:

    • Latest WP trunk (which is newer that 3.1 Beta 2)
    • Firefox 3.6
    • Firefox 4 latest nightly (20 December 2010)

There are some known issues with TinyMCE and FireFox 4 which are a bit outside the power of WordPress to correct, so if you’re using the visual editor, that may be why.

If I had to guess, the culprit here is the Chrome dev (10.x) version. It was a bug in V8 that broke TinyMCE, now fixed in the latest nightlies as far as I know.
