• I looked in the forums and there are multiple variations of this problem and 3.2.1 but I found no solution. Hopefully I just missed it.

I’m running 3.2.1 on about 20 sites. They ALL exhibit the same problem: making changes to existing posts and pages won’t save. Try and create a new page and it saves as blank.

Did all the usual stuff, turned off plugins, checked folder permissions, prayed and chanted facing east…..surely I can’t be the only one suffering from this problem? I haven’t noticed this, in fact I’m pretty sure I wasn’t having this problem until this morning. ??? Weird.

Anyone having the same problem? Or someone have the fix?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Yes’m. Did ALL of that as stated above. What else ya got? Am I the only one having this problem with 3.2.1?

You didn’t mention resetting the plugins folder, changing the theme or re-uploading core files above. The only thing left is either a server issue or a database problem. Have you checked your server’s error logs for clues?

Most of that falls under “praying and chanting eastward”!! ??

I’m talking to HostGator as we speak. Have not checked server error thing. I’ll get the HG guy to do that.

FYI: I’m using a script called FlipMeClone BUT of the 20 sites I have only 18 of them were set up with the script. The other two are several years old and they’re exhibiting the same problem. I mention this just in case I don’t know what. The ONLY thing left that they all have in common is the same hosting co.

I’ll be back. Any other thoughts?

Does your host limit the size of your database? If so, have you reached that limit?

Host says db is fine. Of course every time they try to save/update on their end it works fine.

Now, I tried it on my laptop (same hosting co) and I am able to save/update.

So it looks like something is wonky with my PC. I’ve re-booted several times with no change.

Any ideas what setting or ?? could be “blocking” the save/update action?
