I’m noticing the same behavior. I can receive trackbacks, but I cannot send trackbacks, nor can I send or receive pingbacks. I’m also no longer pinging update services ( https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/33212 ). A quick stop by Podz’ trackback testing blog shows similar problems: https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/TestTrack/index.php

I just sent a few trackbacks, so I know that’s working. Also the dev blog has been receiving a few.

Tested with Podz’s test site: TB and ping work in both directions ??

Could it be a server issue? Why are some working and some not? It seems to be split … varied.

Ok, I just downloaded the .tar.gz version (I previously used the .zip version), disabled all active plugins, and ran the entire upgrade procedure again, using a different FTP app. And, I still can receive trackbacks, but I still cannot send trackbacks, nor can I send or receive pingbacks.

This may be server issue, but I have no problems with WP v1.5.

I could never get either working on 1.5. I’ve been waiting for 1.5.1., but …

I should also add that my server error logs have been completely blank all day.

In terms of receiving pingbacks, do people who know more about server configurations think this might be a curl issue?

mac, is that usual? For your server logs to be completely empty for a day? Maybe your host server is having some problems?
