[Plugin: Contact Form 7] ‘From’ email line not showing up correctly

  • Hello all, I hope someone is knowlageable enough with contact form 7 to help with this issue…

    When I send a confirmation email to my recipient the ‘From’ email line not showing up correctly. It either shows as ‘WordPress’ or when I put ‘<example>’ I get ‘<example’ in the confirmation email. What do I put to get the name showing correctly as ‘example’. Thank you!

  • This is happening with me too.

    I have a standard email address that is in the from field ([email protected]) and I cannot figure out why it’s ‘name’ shows up as ‘WordPress’ in the received emails.

    Specific ex:

    From: WordPress <[email protected]>

    I thought specifying that email address under a wordpress User would cause it to use the UserName, but that doesn’t work.

    I figured this out, you have to physically enter whatever name you want it to come “from” in the From: field. So if you’re using [email protected] and you want it to come from John Doe, enter:

    From:
    John Doe <[email protected]>
