3.4.1 makes cpu usage higher

  • After updating to 3.4.1 the cpu usage on the server has increased quite a bit for my site, making response time longer.
    Has anyone else noticed this?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    WordPress 3.4 does use slightly more PHP memory than 3.3 but the keyword is “slightly”. 1M or less.

    Found out that cool video gallery was the cause of all the problems with the site.
