Will this be compatible with WP 3.6 anytime soon? This is the BEST family tree plugin I’ve seen and would like to use it on my site.

When I posted the first family member, he showed up fine. However, when I posted the second and third and added them to the “Family” category they did not show up. I was also not able to select their spouse/parent.

Thanks again for a BA plugin and I hope I get to use it!

    Thanks for the feedback…!

I have just installed and tested the plugin on WordPress 3.6 and it seems to work fine.

If individuals don’t show up in the tree then often it has something to do with how “root” is (or isn’t) specified.

The shortcode you want to use is: [family-tree root=xxx]

Where xxx is the post id of the individual to show at the top of the tree..

Thanks. Does it need to be three digits?

Also which Theme are you using? I’m still having the same issue.

I also tried uninstalling it and re-installing it.

No it doesn’t need to be three digits.

I am not sure what to suggest… perhaps if you send me a link to your site.

If you want me to look at the admin side then send the details through the contact form on the family tree plugin website, then I can have a look.

I was just using the default WordPress theme.

SOLVED: I had not added the Category Family to the WP Family Tree settings at the top of the page.

Thenk the_arv for pointing it out!
