    Hey guys,
As soon as i installed version 3.6.9 today, i get the following errors when visiting just about every back-end page as a contributor role (new post, profile, etc):

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/SITENAME/public_html/wp-content/plugins/membership/app/rule/adminside/class-ms-rule-adminside-model.php on line 162

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/SITENAME/public_html/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php on line 1560

As soon as i deactivate Business Directory, the errors go away. EVerything worked great prior to this update.

    Question:
Im about to re-install the older version in the meantime, but i already have a bunch of listings published. How do i go about it? Can i safely delete the plugin and just re-install the older version, assuming the listings wont get deleted?

P.S. Im on the latest WP version.
    Thanks

    Hi Diablo2,

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

That sounds very much like a conflict was uncovered. Can you run this conflict test to see if there’s a combo of BD + something else that’s causing this? Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/

Our tests, running common plugins and BD by itself aren’t causing this to happen.

Also, what version of PHP are you running here? Those two lines above aren’t actually inside of BD code, which is odd.

As for the install, yes you can safely downgrade although we’d really appreciate it if you could run that test and tell us which plugin isn’t behaving here so we can address this. Here’s how to downgrade safely: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-downgrade-business-directory-to-an-older-version/

Thanks, ill troubleshoot over the weekend because it might be time-consuming and this is rather high priority.

As far as the downgrade instructions, it basically says to deactivate my existing version and re-upload the older version via FTP.

Now, do i click “Yes” when it asks me to overwrite? More specifically, WinSCP also gives me the option to overwrite “newer files only” as well….

    Just making sure. Advice?

    Thanks!

    Hi Diablo2,

The best thing to do is to:
    – Deactivate the existing version on your plugins dashboard
    – Delete the plugin from the plugins dashboard (this is SAFE, no data will be lost doing it!)
    – Download the older version from www.ads-software.com as a ZIP (don’t unpack it)
    – Install the ZIP on the Plugins dashboard by going to Plugins->Add New, and clicking Upload. Find the ZIP and upload it.

Activate the plugin when you’re done.

Let me know about the result of your tests ASAP–if there’s something wrong, we definitely want to find and fix it right away.

Will definitely do – at some point this week during more quiet hours at night, so i can test thoroughly.

    Thanks again! Ill check back.

I think we may have this fixed, actually. ??

We looked at the lines above, installed the corresponding plugins and added some code to patch it.

We’ll be releasing 3.6.9.1 tonight. I’d encourage you to upgrade it and let me know if you still see any issues.

Nice! What were those corresponding plugins?

I did some brief troubleshooting last night, but didn’t want to report anything just yet until i was 100% sure.

One of the plugins i disabled is Membership2 from WPMUDev. That fixed the errors on most back-end pages, except for the User Profile page.

So, since there might have been more than one culprit, i wanted to do more testing first.

I’m just quoting what my developer said about it–I don’t specifically what he did but he did indicate there was an issue and he patched it.

It’s available in 3.6.9.1 now. Try it out.

    Everything seems to work.
Thanks guys, for fixing all issues so fast and being so professional.
