  • I just visited your site and found the ‘previous entries’ link to be in working order. Got everything sorted?

Well what I did was I went to this link:

    https://imagebaker.com/wp-admin/options.php?update=1

and under the what_to_show field I entered “posts paged”.

This made the ‘previous entries’ link work, but it scrambles the posts somehow (look at the dates), plus it just goes on for infinity continuing to create page directories:

    https://imagebaker.com/page/1/
    https://imagebaker.com/page/1/
    https://imagebaker.com/page/2/
    https://imagebaker.com/page/3/

but the content remains the same.

Now if I enter just “posts” into the what_to_show field it still brings up the 404 error.

Not too sure what to do. I even looked into the template-functions-links.php file, but the php has got me licked.

I’ve been stuck on this for a few days now, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the problem may have been within the database, I did a clean install, deleting the original database, and it ironed things out.

    Thanks.

I had what I think was a similar problem. I was able to solve it by updating my .htaccess with all of the auto-generated mod_rewrite rules on the Options page. When I originally set up my blog, I had accidentally copied only some of the rules. The ones that handle paging are nearer the end.
