• When posting to my blog, if there happens to be a comma [ i.e. = won’t ] then I get [ won//’t ]. These slashes also affect links.
I cannot figure out this problem .. any help would be great.
I apologize if this is a redundancy. I searched the forum and couldn’t find this problem.
    Thanks!

  • Link to your blog ?

Those aren’t commas, but quotation marks. They need to be “escaped” before being inserted into the database, because MySQL uses quotation marks as part of its comand syntax. By placing the backslash in front of them, WordPress is saying “I need to put this literal quote mark into the database”.

WordPress should add and remove slashes for your automatically, so you ought not have this problem.

Can you give us details about your server confifguration?

well, this isn’t mine, but it’s one that is having the problems https://www.shawnmsuperstar.com/blog … I have gone in and manually taken out the slashes in some of the posts.
