    Thanks for writing to us about our plugin! I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I’d be happy to help out here. ??

    I’m sorry to hear that your customers are affected by this 3D secure issue as well. Our team has confirmed that the problem is due to Braintree’s 3D Secure scripts not being able to process certain character sets leading to these errors. The plugin itself isn’t able to avoid or improve on this issue as our only option would be to fully remove the characters in our request to Braintree, but that would lead to invalid field values. Having said that, our development team is working on updating the messaging in future versions so customers are more informed about what the issue is.

    The best workaround I can recommend is to enable an alternate payment method, such as the PayPal method within our plugin, which will give your customers an additional payment option if they run into issues with using the Cyrillic alphabet.

    Would having an additional payment method enabled on your store be a suitable workaround for your business?
