    Hi Guys,

Just a quick heads up. I installed the new EasyAzon update this morning on one of the sites and it broke all my EasyAzon links (i.e. EasyAzon images weren’t showing etc.). When I went to the EasyAzon settings dashboard it said the following: Warning! You must provide your Amazon credentials and ensure they are valid. Requests cannot be made at this time.

I thought this was strange as I use the plugin on other sites with the same Amazon credentials and all of these sites were working fine. I hadn’t yet updated the plugin on these sites.

I read the most recent support thread here https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/4-0-24-version-broke-website/ and saw you had provided a link to the 4.0.22 plugin. I reinstalled this version of the plugin and all my links started working again and the warning message went away.

This is just a heads up to say that I think there is a bug in the 4.0.24 and .25 updates.

    Cheers, M

  • The reason why your links broke is because you need to migrate to Amazon’s new product advertising API 5.0.

This is a requirement of Amazon and what we’ve done is upgrade EasyAzon to use the new product advertising API 5.0 version.

See this thread created earlier this week that explains how to upgrade to the new API:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fyi-product-advertising-api-5-0-support-added-to-4-0-24/

    Per Amazon:

PA API 4 access will shutdown on October 31, 2019.

So yes, you could use the old version of EasyAzon for a couple more days but you do need to upgrade. If you follow the steps shown on the thread above that should resolve the issue.

I’m personally monitoring the support threads here on www.ads-software.com to ensure a smooth transition as possible, but we have upgraded EasyAzon to support the new PA API 5.0 that Amazon has released and requires everyone to use moving forward.

    Thanks! That worked a treat.

Just a quick side question. Is EasyAzon compatible with Amazon OneLink and other Amazon plugins like AAWP (i.e. can I have both running on my site)?

    Thanks!

You can turn off our link localization and simply upload the OneLink code to the site. That may work but I can’t say for sure. We will likely have changes to our link localization technology in a future new major version release.

I’m not sure regarding the other plugin you referenced though. The goal would be for EasyAzon to meet all of your needs so if there is stuff you see in other plugins that we’re missing I would appreciate the feedback.

Please email me us direct to share that
