    Hello,

as in the title, in the 4.2.0 you have removed the D Secure settings.
And you suggest us to use Stripe Radar instead.

    Can I ask you why?

    Thank you

  • Not only why, but how on Earth do we implement it to WordPress? Is it done automatically? The info is so vague on this.

    Hi there,

as in the title, in the 4.2.0 you have removed the D Secure settings.
And you suggest us to use Stripe Radar instead.

    Can I ask you why?

On 14 September 2019, new requirements for authenticating online payments will be introduced in Europe as part of the second Payment Services Directive (PSD2). As a result, Stripe has now introduced 3D Secure 2- a new way for main card authentication to meet these upcoming regulations.

We’ve removed the former 3D Secure (1) settings from the plugin since the 3D Secure 2 upgrade is automatically incorporated. No changes are required on your behalf.

You can read more about this here: https://stripe.com/guides/strong-customer-authentication

    Hope this helps.

Nice to know that 3D-secure-2 seem automatically integrated.

In the mean time I have this message in admin (translated back from French to English) :

We see that the parameter “Require 3D Secure if applicable.” is activated. This setting is no longer available here because it is now replaced by Stripe Radar. To learn more about this, click here.

It’s not clear what to do since the 3D-secure checkbox disappeared (we can still see how it looked @ https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/stripe/).
Please let us know if we must ignore that message or use a trick to solve this.

    Howdy,

Our WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway was updated recently, removing 3D Secure and recommending Stripe Radar.

There’s no setup required to use Stripe Radar. If you’ve updated to Stripe 4.2.0, it’s included. The message you are seeing is our alert for those users who had the 3D Secure setting enabled in the previous version. You can ignore it at this time as there’s nothing additional that you will need to do.

    Thanks!
