4.4.0.1 Kills Site, Fatal Error

Same here it completely killed the website! :/

Thanks for the early report of the issue! We are actively looking into this and trying to find the culprit. Can you please let us now which PHP versions are your servers running? Also, Can you give us some details about the server in which you are running your sites? Window servers by any chance?

We are still struggling to reproduce this. Which web server are you using? Is this Apache, IIS, something else?

Same Issue here, Windows Server 2008 R2, with PHP 5.5.38 if it helps?

IIS is the server.
Also, MySQL 5.6 is current db.

In addition to previously noted:
PHP 5.6.20
Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1

Not a LAMP setup, so we’re aware we may be an outlier.

Can you also provide a list of which of our Premium Plugins you are using in addition to TEC?

I wonder if this could be a max_path issue? Could you guys share the full path to your /wp-content/plugins/ folder? It might be something like:

C:\Inetpub\vhosts\example.com\httpdocs\wp-content\plugins\

The Settings_Manager.php file is included in two locations:

/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/Settings_Manager.php

And:

/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/vendor/tickets/common/src/Tribe/Settings_Manager.php

What happens if you delete this folder:

/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/vendor/tickets/common/

Does the issue go away, or perhaps a new error crops up?

On one site:

Events Calendar PRO
Eventbrite Tickets

Had a license for Community Events, since expired, but it was never added to the installation.

Other 2 sites are just using the non-premium plugin. All gave the error about Tribe__Settings_Manager. All behaved normally when reverted.

Deleting the folder you mentioned didn’t seem to make the problem go away.

I still got the following error, which seems the same as before:

I will try the folder deletion on our dev box and let you know results later when I finish.

I used the free TEC plug-in, nothing else. (it’s on my test site, and I deleted the whole plugin/TEC folder so I could get on site-building)
