I have 3 sites running TEC. All are not serving pages when 4.4.0.1 is installed, with error as follows:

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method Tribe__Settings_Manager::add() in \the-events-calendar\common\src\Tribe\Main.php on line 237

I have reverted to TEC 4.3.5, and all sites are back immediately. However I’ve had to turn off automatic updates, and our Premium TEC plugins are all posting nags that they will not work until 4.4.0.1 is active.

Let me know when your plugin is working again.

    Thanks,

  • putting the TEC plugin back in gives (on activation):
“Fatal error: Maximum function nesting level of ‘100’ reached. aborting! in C:\wamp\www\btac\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\common\vendor\lucatume\di52\src\tad\DI52\Bindings\Resolver.php on line 119”

Deleting vendor\tickets\common did not improve things
    Deleting vendor\tickets the same

Brook, no soap on removing the ‘comment’ folder. No noticeable differences.

While I was on a dev site and could be exhaustive, I first tried just updating the TEC and not the Pro plugins. No difference either.

As soon as I deleted the 4.4 folder and replaced it with 4.3.5 the site returned on the first load, front and back.

The very first error after updating to 4.4 was this:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Tribe__Events__Featured_Events__Query_Helper::add() in `\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\common\src\Tribe\Main.php on line 237

Then it went back to the Tribe__Settings_Manager error. While on 4.4, repeated reloads in the Admin side occasionally returned this different error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 209715200 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 65488 bytes) in ~\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\common\vendor\lucatume\di52\src\tad\DI52\Bindings\Resolver.php on line 119

Checking the front side immediately following that error would get this error on the first subsequent reload:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Tribe__Events__Front_Page_View::add() in ~\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\common\src\Tribe\Main.php on line 237

After that, reloads returned to the Tribe__Settings_Manager error noted above. No idea if any of this will be of any significance, just all the empirical info I got.

    Thanks,

    Brook

Thank you for all of this information! It is extremely helpful.

We have a number of testers on Windows, but we’re all running Apache. At the moment we are spinning up a shared IIS server we can use for testing. Hopefully we will be able to quickly isolate this once we can reproduce it ourselves.

For those of you who haven’t mentioned it yet, what version of IIS are you running?

    Cheers!

Thank you for working on this fix.

ISS Version for our server is 7.5.7601.17514

Wow, bad release – completely wiped out my site.

    Windows Server 2008 R2
    IIS Version 7.5.7600.16385

    Hey Guys,

Running into the same issue on a new website i’m building. I was able to install the older version of Event Calendar(4.3.5) & Event Tickets(4.3.5), but Event Tickets Plus is not installing. (4.4)

Is there anyway to get an older version of that plugin which is compatible with Event Calendar(4.3.5)?

    Windows Server 2008
    IIS 7.0.6001.18000

    Let me know!

    Thanks!

Unfortunately I loaded the updated before seeing this thread and yep, it crashed my site as well. Was able to reinstall 4.3.5 to recover the site.

    Windows Server 2008 R2
    IIS Version 7.5.7600.16385

For those that have a custom URL for your events page you may need to re-save that configuration. I use /events/ and it was giving me the 404 page until I re-saved the Events Calendar settings.

Got a blank screen after updating university department’s website. According to IT, the server is running Apache v2.4.18 and PHP v5.6.29.

The blank screen reason is most likely because your server’s PHP display_errors is set to off which is a good thing for production environments.

I figured something like that is why the screen went blank. Looking back at old emails from last year, the ITs on campus claim that the server runs Windows Server 2008 R2 and Apache. Unfortunately, I do not have full access so as of right now The Event Calendar is not installed.

Hi – Can anyone tell me where I can get a copy of 4.3.5?

Any idea as to when this might be corrected?

I am trying to put up a new site and have already purchase Event Tickets Plus. I need a version of the calendar that works with the latest tickets plus plugin.

I tried installing 4.3.5 of the calendar. That works, but, when I install the Tickets Plus plugin, it crashes.

We are now one week behind schedule getting the new site configured. Need a correction this week.
