Just updated to 4.9 and now the site is throwing a runtime exception. Needed to remove the plugin via FTP.

Trying to run it with events tickets plus (latest version)

Patch available, or should I just downgrade.

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Really sorry about this, @rynonet.

We literally just released a fix for this (both for The Event Calendar and Event Tickets). If you can update, that should resolve the problem.

Alternatively, or additionally, please consider updating your PHP version if your host supports this (as far as we know, these problems only happen with very old versions of PHP – 5.3 or earlier – and we would strongly recommend updating those if you can).

Again, apologies for the disruption: hopefully our latest fixes right the ship but do let us know if you continue to hit problems after updating.

    The exact error message is

    RuntimeException thrown
Error while making ‘tickets.handler’: ‘tickets.handler’ is not a bound alias or an existing class.

I am running Events Calendar 4.7.0.1
    Events Tickets Plus 4.8.3
    Event Tickets 4.8.4.

When trying to upgrade Event Tickets to 4.9.0.1 the error is thrown.

    Hi

v 4.9.01 is throwing the error

    I am running PHP 7.2.

    Hmm, puzzling.

By any chance is there more information – like a complete stack trace – that you can share?

Sometimes errors are rendered with additional notes which can help us to figure out the sequence that leads up to the problem (which is what I’m seeking) … if all you are seeing is literally just the error message you quoted, though, no need to worry too much about this – however enabling WP_DEBUG could help get that extra information.

Alternatively, can you speak to when this problem is happening? Is it immediately upon activation and does it happen on all pages/screens or just some of them?

Thank you again for the help … we’re really keen to build up a better picture of this so we can get a fix in place if appropriate ??

Hi, if i could jump in here, tried to update to 4.9.0.2 and this is the error i get from the plugin, “Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.”

I was able to update calendar and tickets plus but now my tickets arent showing up.

Mind creating a fresh topic of your own, @mgaetano2000? That seems like a quite separate problem, not directly related to this release but rather a problem with file permissions in your hosting environment.

It would just help us to avoid confusion as we focus on the runtime exception reported by rynonet ??

Got it, sorry about that, thank you
