• I updated and when I go to my blog, the only post I can read is the latest one. All the others are gone. They are viewable in the back, all the numerous posts I have made, but only one is viewable when you go to the website itself. I want the old version back. 4.0 is terrible and has ruined all my work of months. How do I get the old version back?

Did you back up your WordPress directory and your database before upgrading?

I don’t know how to backup. The suggestion to backup presumes that people have the technical knowledge to know how to do that. I don’t know where a backup goes or what to do with it if it did get backup-ed. WordPress should realize that not everyone that uses their service has technical coding ability. I will say I did find the posts and other things, like links, most recent posts, etc., but it had switched to the equivalent of an about page. I can’t switch it back. Don’t know how. Personally, it was working fine before. I had no problems. I don’t know why we have to keep going to new upgrades of WordPress, particularly when the bugs are not worked out. If someone wants the new, fine, but why did we all have to upgrade? Now it’s lots of extra work or me, or perhaps I lose it all. I would be happy to downgrade back, if that would fix it.

Contact to your hosting company, they have backup, and want from them to restore your site from last backup.
