4.0 RC1 WP editor font (Lato) – limited character set

    Lato font used in WP editor has a limited character set. For example in my native language (Czech) there are some special characters (?, ?, ? etc.), which Lato does not support! So the browser uses different sans-serif font to render those characters and it looks quite ugly.

    WordPress core does not use Lato font, it’s in your theme’s editor-style.css file.

    Twenty Fourteen theme does use it, but it can be disabled per language, and it’s disabled in Czech translation.

    Same in Polish – there are no signs such as ?, ?, ?, ?, ń, etc.
    They used to work, they used to be displayed, but one day the had just gone.
