  • I’m having a similar issue, it looks like it is coming from my counter.
Which counter are you using? I am using

    Counter
A simple visitor counter for WordPress. It is a simple widget. It also works with cached sites.
Version 1.1 | By Erik Sefkow | Visit plugin site
looking at the site version 1.9 is out, but it does not show the auto update.
I’m not at a location where I can get FTP access to my site, so I’ve killed the counter and will look at updating or replacing it later tonight.

Ok, I just checked your site, the counter is from the same site as mine was. Might want to take a look at that.

    Good luck

    Thank for the tip.
I had ver 1.1 and installed ver 1.9, but it was the exact same file size, and after install it still says I’m using 1.1
The counter site seems to be down too, maybe that’s part of the problem?
Anyway, I’ve disabled the counter and will ask viewers to see if they have any problems.
    Thanks
    Dave.
BTW, what tipped you off that it was the counter?

I was looking at the cookie that caused the issues and saw that the website it was pointing to was the website for the plugin developer.
