When I try to add a new site, I get a 400 error. This is on a fresh WordPress install on a subdomain. I have the MainWP child plugin installed on the child site. I do have SSL active on the site. I’m not sure what the issue is.

This is on a SiteGround server and I am using Let’s Encrypt SSL.

I am also seeing a warning in the Server Information tab on the child site because my cURL timeout is 20 and the required timeout is >=300

Also, where do I get the HTTP Username and Password?

Can you run the test connection feature for that child site and let me know what you get?

You only need to add a HTTP Username and Password if you are using HTTP Auth on your Child site.

I am getting this for the connection test.

Connection test failed. URL: thesitedomain.net (IP: xx.xx.xxx.xx) – Received HTTP-code: 400 (Bad Request)
To find out more about what your HTTP status code means please click here to locate your number (400)

Okay, that tells us that the Dashboard is in fact getting the 400 reply when trying to reach that child site.

The cURL timeout usually doesn’t cause an issue like this, do you see an error in cURL version, cURL SSL Version or SSL Warnings?

No. Everything passed, except the cURL timeout, which is just a warning.

That is strange, there are more things I want to go over but they require site information.

Can you please open a ticket and send us the Child URL and reference this thread?

    Done. Thanks!
