Hello, running 4.0.1 and if I visit the blog my images are missing. I edit the blog they are missing but “relinking takes me to the media library and they are there and linked. Upon relinking, visual editor shows them but they are not showing up on the external facing blog.

    I have done the following.

Permissions, they are all readable by all groups and admin has editing abilities.

Paths/links are all good though I can not view that path from a browser. “We cannot complete this request, remote data was invalid”

I have uploaded new files and the same happens to them. and I have made a new post to test on with the same results.

I can replace with a URL insert but inserting from my media library does not seem to work any longer.

I can’t find any discussions like this. It acts like a permissions issue but I can not see where the permissions are off.

    Any hints?

i’ve viewed the source on an image and seen this

    <img class=?"wp-image-100 size-large" title=?"CRW_1005A" src=?"http:?/?/?i0.wp.com/?www.crookedbear.com/?blog/?wp-content/?uploads/?2012/?11/?CRW_1005A1.jpg?resize=584%2C387" alt data-recalc-dims=?"1">?

you can see at the end there’s no / image elements have to end with />

also noticed that the url is pointing to wordpress.com which is nothing to do with www.ads-software.com… if your site is hosted on there you need to go to them for help.

Not a problem. as you can see the blog is older and small, I will look at killing it and remaking from scratch .

thank you. your / observation did not seem to fix anything though.

have a great night and sorry for eating your time.

I too am experiencing a similar issue. It seems like it is happening only to select media, and I noticed it after the 4.0.1 update. I reloaded the images and placed them back in my page, and they still aren’t appearing. On one page imparticular i’m using the “Accordion” and the sub-texts display but not the image. If it is a source code issue, how do I change the source code on an image?
