  • Hi Kinah,

Where is your site hosted? It seems that your hosting has restricted the access. This is not a WordPress related issue. You need to contact your hosting provider to resolve the matter.

As far as I can see https://projectbass.org/wp-admin has an extra layer of security by using HTTP password access on the wp-admin folder.

This is a common extra layer of security used by many in general.

I don’t know who has set this up for you or which user / password he may have used but it might be different that the Administrator account of your WordPress installation so by trying those login credentials might not work.

In some cases I’ve seen people using their CPanel credentials for HTTP protection as well – a rare and not security-wise case but it still happens.

If you want to disable that extra layer of protection I could give you some hints on how to disable it if you at least have FTP access to your files.

Or as @ibadrehman mentioned you can simply contact your hosting provider to resolve it for you as well.
