• I have tested on 3 WordPress website installs that have 4.0.1 on them; they do not have the same plugins, nor the same themes and all of them come up with a 400 bad request error after the password is entered. Anyone with advice on a fix, your input is greatly appreciated.

All plugins deactivated? I can’t seem to reproduce the issue. Permalink setting?

BTW, it works if you’re logged in, so you have to open in another browser that you’re not logged in to or log out first to try it.

_thinks out loud_: Sounds almost like a caching issue.

Have you tried re-saving the permalink settings? I know it may sound a little odd… Have you contacted your hosting company about this, it could be on a server level.
