After a few times of saving new pods fields for a custom post type of ‘team members’, I would get a /403.html not found error. I was also adding an image/file upload field to a ‘team members’ post type and now I can’t even get into the post type options at all without getting the 403 error. I just deleted and uninstalled pods as well as clearing pods cache.

I’m guessing this might be a server/installation issue.
Could you check your installation with the troubleshooter?
Please only enable Pods and a default WordPress theme within the troubleshooter and make sure this problem still exists.

Thanks, I see the server we’re on is only on PHP 5.6 so I’ve prompted the owner to upgrade to 7.3. Could this have been the culprit? I did troubleshoot as well by deactivating all plugins except for pods and using a default theme and error persisted, so I think you’re correct per your server suggestion.

    PHP 5.6 should be supported.
Keep in mind though, 403 isn’t “not found” but “forbidden”.
Please try to update Pods to the latest version (we’ve release a new maintenance update last night and had some troubles with SVN).

Hmmm, then I may be stumped. I can get into some pods but not the one with file/image upload so not sure what else to try vs moving it to a different server (but I think where it is will be the live host). I’ve updated pods this morning as well and it still persists.

I sounds like a file access CHMOD issue.
Do you see any errors in your console or on the server logs?

It’s confusing because this is the error page (says not found but file name has 403)…

I was able to duplicate the pod I couldn’t access and I can access the duplicate but not the original. So weird!

Ah ok, that gives some more perspective.
Might be an issue with your redirects (.htaccess?).
Maybe a name conflict with an other object/URL?

Glad that helps a little. I’m going to work off the duplicate for as long as I can until I get another issue since time is of the essence but will troubleshoot more if needed. Thank you for your quick assistance!

No problem, in that case I’ll close the issue (as I doubt it’s a Pods error).
Feel free to reopen when you want to continue or you found new info!
