403 error in new subdomain

  • Hi guys,

    so I just installed WordPress in 2 different subdomains and in neither of them it’s working. I get 403 Forbidden You don’t have permission to access /.html on this server.

    When I go to subdomain.mysite.com/wp-admin I get the 403, but when directly going to subdomain.mysote.com/wp-admin/index.php I can login to my dashboard.

    It can not be from plugins as it’s a 100% new installation. Would you still need to see my .htaccess?

    When researching this problem I see that several others have encountered the exact same situation but I have not managed to found one of those resolved. Would someone be able to help me out?

    Check with your host to make sure the ownership of the files is correct. The permissions should be 755 on directories and 644 on files.
