403 Error when trying to update Databank

after updating to Woocommerce to 9.1.1 I get the message Woocommerce Databank needs update.

If I understand you correctly, you are referring to the database when you say databank. Is that correct?

Updated to 9.1.2, but still get error 403 when i want to use search funktion in products. Also get 403 when I want to change something in categories. I already heard of three other users having these issues, but all are hosted by Strato. Since there are no other users having these problems I start to think it`s a Strato problem.

As expected, Strato said they cant see any problems on their side. And the dont have other users having those problems. The only thing they mentioned is a php warning that is flooding my Logfiles:

So the last thing would be to reinstall Woocommerce.

Does a reinstallation of Woocommerce have any effects on my settings or products in Woocommerce ?

Do I have to think of something special before reinstalling ?

To reinstall, I download the Woocommerce file and just add it as a new plugin from zip-file ?

Reinstalling WooCommerce should not affect your settings or products as they are stored in your database, not within the plugin itself.

However, as a best practice, it is always wise to take a full backup of your site (including your database) before making such changes.

Before reinstalling, make sure to deactivate and delete the current WooCommerce plugin from your WordPress plugins page.

To reinstall WooCommerce, you’re correct. You would download the WooCommerce .zip file from the WordPress repository and then upload it as a new plugin on your WordPress site. After uploading, ensure to activate the plugin.

The Problem seems to be the Apache-version of our provider STRATO.
The solution seems to be described here:

The solution could be to add the flag [UnsafeAllow3F] to RewriteRules in .htaccess like
RewriteRule Pattern Substitution [flags,UnsafeAllow3F]

Maybe someone could give me a hint how to realize this because the .htaccess part of WP should not be changed by hand, but by WP-filters.

To add the [UnsafeAllow3F] flag to your RewriteRules, you could use the mod_rewrite_rules filter. This filter allows you to modify the array of rewrite rules that WordPress generates.

Although writing or providing custom code is not within the scope of our support policy, here’s an example to understand it:

Thanks fo ur reply @shameemreza , I hope Strato gets the problems fixed quickly now after more and more people realize these Errors. (see my latest post).

I also encounter these problems (I use Strato too) and called with them 2 times. They do believe (for now) that it’s not their problem and that I should fix it on my side. I will follow this post for possible solutions. But I hope Strato will fix the problem on their side since more and more customers have this issue.
