I keep getting this message when I’m adding products to the media library. I use a plugin called “Add From Server” which allows me to add any number of files straight from the server. Recently, every time do this, I cannot and displays the following message within my browser:

    403 Forbidden
A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site.

When I deactivate Wordfence, it works fine. So not to sure if it’s a setting or something else.

Any help would be great, thanks.

  • Hi,
You can go to (Wordfence > Live Traffic) and Filter traffic with “Blocked by Firewall” then you should be able to see any request that got blocked by Firewall there, also you can click on “Whitelist param from Firewall” button to whitelist any specific action.

Another way is to choose “Learning Mode” for “Firewall Status” under (Wordfence > Firewall) then try performing the same action you were doing with “Add From Server” and the Firewall will learn to whitelist this action in the future, after that you can revert the Firewall Status back to “Enabled and Protecting”.

    Thanks.

Hi wfalaa, thanks for that, it helped and now it’s working fine. It was the second option you quoted, performing the same action with the “Learning Mode” on.

    Thanks once again.
