I used the setup wizard and did as the plugin suggested, which was to lock the htaccess file, however this has now completely locked me out of the website and I got the following message:

    Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access this resource.Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safeApache/2.4.58 (Debian) Server at sonictracs.com Port 80

It’s back online now, but is this a problem?

Some web hosts do not allow locking htaccess files. To get out of this problem if it occurs again you would use FTP or your web host control panel file manager and delete the root htaccess file. Then login to your site, go to the BPS htaccess Options page > htaccess File Editor tab page > turn off AutoLock.
