403 Forbidden access to wp-admin

  • Hi.
    I am having a problem with one of my sites (https://luiginaciolfi.com/). It seems that I do not have permission to access the wp-admin folder. This error appears since my hosting company moved to a new apache server. However, they are saying that it is a scripting error in WP. I can login ok, but I get a 403 forbidden error when I try to access the wp-admin folder. I have searched this and other forums and people seem to point to the .htaccess file but I am not that technical and I can not see such a file on the server, any help would be appreciated,..

  • Ask your host to check the file ownership. This has caused issues for me in the past after a server move.

    When you say you can login OK do you mean via FTP? Might be a good idea to clarify.
