• I’m using this Google custom search plug-in, and have been for nearly 5 years. It’s been working great, but we recently discovered that if the search query contains an apostrophe, we will get this error page instead of search results:

    403 Forbidden Error Page
If you arrived here due to a search or clicking on a link click your Browser’s back button to return to the previous page. Thank You.

So, for example, if I type in this query:

    my editor’s idea

I get the error. If I type it in without the apostrophe, I get results with no error.

Is this an issue with the plug-in, or do I need to contact Google? Thanks.

Our plugin does not handle the content that you type into the search field, thus it does not seem to be a plugin problem.
I have tested it, if I type ‘my editor’s idea’ into the search filed in our webshoplogic.com site, it works without any problem.
