403 Forbidden in "Save Settings"

    I am in the Simply Static ? Settings section of the plugin. When I hit “Save Settings” at the bottom it gives me:

    “403 Forbidden

    A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site.”

    What I need to do is update the URL to where the static page will live through the Destination URL text input. I can’t change and save.

    Even if I leave the URL to the default, currently live wordpress directory I get the same error.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • Hi moojamboo,

    After some quick googling, it looks like the “A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site” error message is from WordFence. Are you using WordFence? Have you tried disabling WordFence and see if that fixes the issue? (Turn it back on after saving settings, of course!)

    I’ll try some testing on my side and see if I can replicate the issue.
