• Hello,

Everything was working fine and i was able to access the files as well but recently I moved website to a new server on cloudways and IDK why when I try to access a file directly in browser I see an error message. The path is below.

    https://www.domain.com/wp-content/themes/divi/listing.php

and this is the error I see

    403 Forbidden

    nginx

What just happened? while everything was working perfectly fine before.

Although the file path is okay still I’m not able to access files directly.

plus I noticed that contact form 7 is also not sending emails to my email. Is this issue related to this 403 forbidden issue or not?

Review this documentation article on moving to a new server and see if you missed anything: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/moving-wordpress/#moving-to-a-new-server

Have you installed an MTA (eg Sendmail, Postfix, etc) on your server? Note that when you move from shared or managed web hosting to your own private server, it becomes your responsibility to install, configure and manage every server software needed to run your website, including the server software to send emails.

So, if you haven’t installed email software on the server, then, of course, your server (and thus WordPress) cannot send any emails.

A quick search shows your server control panel Cloudways does not install any MTA. Instead, they suggest various “Email Addons”. Please see: https://support.cloudways.com/en/articles/5131071-which-email-add-on-should-i-use

@gappiah thanks for your response, yesterday I have talked with Cloudways support person and he said that they don’t provide pre installed mail servers. And he also said me that I need to install their mail addons so I can send emails in website.

I just need to configure the SMTP settings in server now and hope I will be able to send emails again.

BTW Cloudways should add pre-installed email servers in their servers right?
