• Hi,

OK so I have been trying and trying to sort this issue out but I’m now at the end of the road. I have worked through the checklist here:

    https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/114-photo-uploads-not-working

I have talked to my host and everything is how UM likes it and I have done every other item on the list and still it shows a forbidden error when uploading a profile image.

I have removed all the size settings in the UM settings or simply increased them.

So no idea what the next step is? Has anyone else faced this issue with seemingly everything in place for uploads to work?

It goes without saying that other plugins and native WP functions have no issues uploading images.

    Any help much appreciated

  • Hi,
Have you mbstring enabled in your PHP-settings at host-provider.
You can try profile page without sidebar. If sidebar have some other functions on what would be conflict.
In some case, “scripts to footer”, “minimize”, “autoptimize” plugins cause these.
And remember to clear cache or disable it, to be sure testing phase effects.

    Hi Matti,

Yes I can confirm that mbstring is enabled as per phpinfo.

The site does not run any of the plugins you have mentioned. I do have Hummingbird Pro but it has not even been setup yet and the problem remains even once this is deactivated.

I was Ctrl+F5 when changes are made but I will try a proper clear from the settings.

Any more help would be much appreciated

    Thanks

Your WP user role have Capability “upload_files” and you have linked to wordpress role UM user role for that?
